This Privacy Policy explains how NutriCoach, operated by Perfect Fit Training and Nutrition (“we,” “us,” “our”), collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the App. By using NutriCoach, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, and password (passwords are stored encrypted by our authentication provider — we never see them in plain text).
- Profile & health-related data you provide: goals, height, weight, age, activity level, dietary preferences, allergies, food logs, meal plans, progress photos, and check-ins.
- Content you enter: meal descriptions, messages to your coach, and questions to the AI coach.
- Usage & device data: basic app activity and, if you enable them, push-notification identifiers and approximate location (used only to find nearby restaurants — see below).
How we use your information
- To provide and operate the App — tracking food, generating plans, powering the AI coach, and showing progress.
- To connect clients with their coach so the coach can view that client’s data and provide guidance.
- To send notifications you opt into (such as when a coach sends a new plan).
- To maintain security and improve the service.
Location
The “Eat Out Near Me” feature requests your device location only when you tap it, and uses it once to find nearby restaurants. We do not track your location in the background or store your location history.
AI and third-party service providers
We use trusted providers to run the App, and share only the data needed for each to do its job:
- Hosting & database (e.g., Supabase, Vercel) — to store your account and data and serve the App.
- AI providers (e.g., OpenAI, ElevenLabs) — meal descriptions, coach messages, and text for voice playback are sent to generate responses, nutrition estimates, and audio. Restaurant lookups use OpenStreetMap.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies & local storage
We use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences (such as your chosen coach voice). We do not use them for third-party advertising.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted authentication and access controls so coaches see only their own clients. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices & rights
- Update your profile or change your password anytime in Settings.
- Turn push notifications and location access on or off on your device.
- Request a copy or deletion of your data by contacting us at the email below.
Children
NutriCoach is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Minors should use the App only with the involvement of a parent, guardian, or healthcare provider.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
